SHOOTING AT KINGSBURY

The home of Midlands shooting is at Kingsbury Range, near Tamworth.

We are fortunate to have a range going back to 600 yards.  County shooting is organised by Bromsgrove RC who have a range licence and regular weekend bookings on the range. They welcome members of rifle clubs affiliated to the County to share their bookings and we are very grateful to them for this.

The high spot of the year for rifle shooters at Kingsbury is 'Birmingham Bisley' - see panel opposite.

BIRMINGHAM BISLEY

This was restarted (at Kingsbury) in 2017 by the NRA and then HWRA took it over, operating under Bromsgrove RC's licence.  Two very successful two-day meetings were held in 2018 and 2019 but the 2020 meeting was cancelled by the lockdown.  Successful meetings were also held in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

From 2024, the meeting will be run by Andrew Sutton, Secretary of WFA Bromsgrove RC. <wfrabromsgrove@gmail.com>
